Once in a while, I come up with a nail polish combination that I kind of want to just stare at all day. This is one of those combinations. I love it. L-O-V-E.

I may or may not have done my nails four times this weekend. I was trying out some new polishes I was sent recently, and I wasn’t loving any of it. Then I did a manicure for a friend, and was kind of jealous of it, which lead to this creation. Essie Carry On from the fall collection and Sephora by OPI Traffic Stopper Copper glitter.

It feels like toasted marshmallows on my nails. Or something.

I’m not usually into nail polish trends, because they are just that. Trends. They’re cool today and passé tomorrow and I tire of them very quickly. Much like many of the dudes I dated in the past.

But on a recent trip to Sephora I couldn’t NOT pick up a bottle of nails inc. magnetic polish in Trafalgar Square. I felt I owed it to my readers to try it out.

See what I did there?

The formula goes on like any other high quality polish, comes in three colours, and the magnetic part is incredibly easy to do. Check out this video to see how it’s done.

The only downside is that you can only do one design. The magnet that comes with the nails inc. polish produces these wiggly designs, but I wonder if you could use a magnet from another magnetic polish brand to make a different design. Like this star magnet from LCN. I think I’d be more likely to use it often if I could switch up the designs.

What do you think?

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On and Deborah Lippman Happy Birthday glitter.

Kind of feeling like eating a spoonful of icing right now.

The only thing better than parcel Friday, is finding your nail art on flare.com. That is pretty fun too. The neon tiger stripes in the middle are even an editor’s pick. I’m not sure what that means, but it sounds exclusive. So let’s just go with that.

Sometimes you just want to have superhero nails. Am I right?

I saw this silver and blue combination on one of the many blogs I frequent and couldn’t get it out of my head. But the rhinestones were all me. The silver is Nicole by OPI in Positive Energy and the blue is illamasqua in Force.

Check out the tutorial on Chloe’s Nails to see how I did this. And please don’t compare my manicure with hers. Because she’ll win.

Mrs. Robinson from Color Club and I Lily Love You topcoat from the OPI Nice Stems Collection. It’s like crinkled, sparkly paper bits on your nails. Super fun. And super festive.

This is kind of a deceiving manicure. It looks like it takes forever. But it really doesn’t. I followed a tutorial for gradient nails on YouTube here. The trick is having the three match-y colours. After that, it’s easy-peasy.
